I count 14 so far this month.  They usually come in groups of several in 
a day.  My point is that if someone changed this list to members-only 
then either 1. spammers are members of this list (and apparently others) 
and their accounts should be cut off or 2. spammers are impersonating 
members on this list and we need to find a way to stop it.

As for confused people looking for support, there are probably less of 
them because not many people are using XFree86 anymore because not many 
distributions are employing XFree86 anymore.  But then that also brings 
us to the discussion of the license which has also been beaten to death 
on this list, but if you would prefer I would be happy to start up a 
discussion on that.
