The license change does affect some files in other application visible
libs, though, the most prominent being libXext, the library containing the
C bindings for a number of extensions.
Using it in that library would be a problem.

If these came from BSD, it is pertinent that Berkeley asked everyone
to change the license for all code that came from BSD. So you could
make the change to the revised BSD license, once you've verified that
the code came from BSD.
