Still, i believe this whole issue is the result<br>of some hidden politics, but please prove me wrong, if that is not so.
And you've heard of the legal actions happening to LINUX haven't you from a certain 3 letter curse? Surely a project wanting to protect itself from such claims makes sense?
Why companies, using LINUX are either 1) idemnifying their clients & their developers from such actions by creating huge warchests or 2) stating that they will replace the code. Isn't this an easier method? I think that this is not 'hidden' politics but a response and a very valid one at that offered to us under the OSI that we would be foolish not to take.
