Note that Xc/Xr offers "PostScript-like API" which can be used to render not 
only PostScript primitives, but SVG elements as wel.
And, even further: Xr/Xc can be a foundation to bring up PDF rendering and PDF 
export capabilities to XFree86.

Discussions about Xr/Xc/XSVG happen on <xsvg@xsvg.org> mailing list.
It seems awareness about those libs is still quite low.
Taking into consideration attention to XFree86 Forum list, caused by 
possibility of XFree86 fork, I'd like to invite core & "non-core" XFree86 
developers to subscribe to that XSVG/Xr/Xc list at:
