Hello.
I saw an interesting proposal on gnomedesktop.org, which might solve a 
very big complaint that users have - "Why isn't my card supported?"

(I didn't post it here because I don't think it would be polite)

I believe this would also make life simpler for X maintainers, maybe a 
bit more complicated for distributers.
