My understanding of the situation was that this was started because people
WANTED to contribute but felt they could not and so desired to fork. I've
been in a similar situation myself and it ended up in a fork which turned
out much less positive than a mutual solution would have.
People who do not want to contribute should not be so miffed when the
feature they so desperately want does not get done in a timely manner for
them. This is, as was previously stated, a volunteer project.
